Produced by Dawn Adamson and directed by Tara Ryan, The Long Weekend comically portrays what happens when the truth and lies of a friendship come to the surface during a weekend visit between two couples.
A 15-year friendship is tested when the two couples retreat to a remote cottage for a weekend. As hilarious truths and deceptions are revealed, the sparks begin to fly. This biting and inventive comedy of manners offers up plenty of surprises and plot twists along the way. The Long Weekend is a very humorous play with richly drawn characters and some of the most sparkling and funny dialogue that Foster has ever written. As with many of Norm Foster's works, The Long Weekend serves up the laughs and proves once again why he is Canada’s most produced playwright.
