“Drove Quotes” to Remember:
The director’s first job is to believe.
The director’s second job is to give gifts.
The most important function of a set is to stay out of the way of the actors.
A director should only ever have to say 3 things to an actor:
- What are you doing?
- Why are you doing it?
- I don’t believe you.
New Phrase Coined During Festival:
“the dummy in the bed” – to describe a moment of complete surprise for the audience.
Participants Quotes about Stephen Drover:
Knowledgeable, approachable, insightful, accessible, respectful, personable, witty, funny, a great entertainer and storyteller, articulate, intelligent, a director’s director!

How far this little candle throws his beams!
So shines a good deed in a naughty world.
